ALI BABA AND THE FORTY THIEVES
Some people think some stories were originally designed for kids because they have been used in cartoons or as literture for young learners. But many times they are the result of a long tradition which comes from far places and which gather elements of narrative that can also be found nowadays.
That's what happens with ALI BABA AND THE 40 THIEVES, which was included in The One Thousand and One Nights Tales.
Pre-Reading/Listening activities:
-Place the setting of the story in a map.
-Look for information about the history at that time.
-Search for the summary of the story on the internet (The One and one thousand nights). Mention some other tales included in the story.
-What is the name of the main female character in the story? Look for information about her name.
While-Reading/Listening activities:
-Do you remeber the elements of narrative texts? Complete the information while you are reading/listening:
